The Sea to Summit Trail is one of Squamish's most iconic hiking adventures, taking you from sea level to the summit of the Sea to Sky Gondola entirely on foot. This challenging climb winds through lush coastal rainforest, past waterfalls, rocky bluffs, and scenic viewpoints before finishing with breathtaking panoramic views over Howe Sound and the surrounding Coast Mountains. Pickup from Vancouver is at 9:00 AM. Guests can expect the full experience to take approximately 6 to 8 hours round trip, including transportation, hiking time, breaks, time at the summit, and the gondola ride back to the base.
What To Expect
The hike begins at sea level near Shannon Falls before climbing steadily through dense coastal rainforest. The trail features roots, rocks, staircases, and a few rope-assisted sections as it gains nearly 1,000 metres in elevation. After reaching the summit, you'll have time to enjoy the spectacular views, explore the summit area, grab a snack or drink if desired, and descend comfortably aboard the Sea to Sky Gondola.
